What is MH Action Group?
Mountain House Action Group (MHAG) is a local organization formed by a group of Mountain House Residents in November 2008. They came together and united because they were suffering from housing crisis in Mountain House. Now, this group is coordinating and uniting all Mountain House residents to find solution from this crisis.
Why are we here? What do we want now?
We are here to ask you to support our effort to help this town, to preserve our community and to stop everyone including our family and friends from leaving us with broken hearts because they cannot afford to pay their high mortgages.
What’s your goal and how can you achieve it?
We have 5 short term goals:
- Re-consider mortgage terms in favor of homeowners by using loan modifications (or other loan instruments) by using fair considerations that would be favorable for all homeowners
- Apply the best possible interest rate and the best terms that are favorable to homeowners;
- Assure homeowners to stay at and keep their homes during the process of loan modification;
- Have the county re-assess the property tax based on current market value as provided by independent assessors;
- Ensure no negative impact to FICO scores.
We know it is not easy to achieve these goals, but it is not impossible because once we have critical mass from all of us, related parties will listen. We do not promise the results, however we try our best. We will work with government, lenders, and non-profit organizations.
Do you try to make money from me?
No, we do not. We do it voluntarily to help our community, by helping our community, this effort automatically will help us, you and me.
What in it for me?
Our goals are to help our community. If we can achieve our goals, automatically it will benefit you because you are one of the members of the community. We cannot promise anything, but with your support we try our best.

I am not a homeowner. Can I still participate?
Yes, you can. As Mountain House residents, there are many common interests among us such as supporting further community development according to Mountain House Master Plan. By coming together we will create critical mass and will be able to influence decision-making process.
